The joy was great among the children in Shangilia. The new playground is a huge success. After months of planning, we were able to build an adventure playground in December. Swings, a slide, a climbing garden and a sandpit were finished with the help of Josef Brendgens and Kenyan workers and employees in 10 days.
We brought some materials from Germany, others were bought locally in Kenya. Josef Brendgens is a former caretaker at Godeshöhe Clinic and had heard about Shangilia for years. For the construction of the playground, he had traveled to Africa for the first time.
