Accommodation for the staff

As an employer, Shangilia is also responsible for the well-being of its employees.

For this reason, we are currently planning to build a residential house with two apartments for the families of our employees in cooperation with the not-for-profit organization DESWOS e. V.

Because of low salaries and high living costs, many of the employees are living in cramped conditions by any standards. The way to get to Shangilia is long and cumbersome. Especially in the dark, the paths are also dangerous and unlit, so most employees leave Shangilia in the late afternoon.

This in turn means that the care of the children from late afternoon must be ensured by only a few employees. The community children then leave the Shangilia area and go home. There, however, they do not find any child-friendly environment for their development.

The new dwellings will increase the quality of life of the employees and their families and ensure that the children remain well supervised and cared for.
